Description of Role:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager will have a key role in Lightshift’s project finance activities in addition to other finance-related priorities. The ideal candidate has proven track record of deal execution, including sourcing, negotiating, managing due diligence, and closing transactions.
Core responsibilities will include:
Source, negotiate, and close tax equity, debt, and equity transactions for Lightshift’s portfolio of construction and operational assets;
Interface with internal and external parties to manage the timely development and delivery of all documents, reports, and other closing deliverables.
Manage lead due diligence and oversee financial modeling
Develop and maintain successful relationships with investors for current and future financing needs, including tax equity investors, tax credit buyers, lenders, project investors, and others;
Collaborate with existing capital providers to compliance with current contractual obligations
Lead detailed financial analysis of various financing options and drive selection and execution of preferred approach;
Work with finance and analytics teams on project financial modeling;
Support Head of Corporate Finance in financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow and related presentations to the Board;
Support accounting, treasury, and other internal departments on project finance-related matters;
Manage junior finance associates as applicable
Qualifications:
BA/BS in finance or related degree, CPA/CFA a plus;
3+ years of experience in renewable energy project finance roles;
Demonstrated performance of deal execution in tax equity, debt, and/or equity transactions
Active network and relationships with capital providers in the energy industry
Expert in Excel; ability to build, manipulate and interpret heavy project finance models;
Energy storage experience preferred;
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills;
Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills;
Understanding of GAAP financial accounting, tax regulations, and contractual matters;
Task-oriented with high attention to detail;
Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
